Hello
Amanda I really have been enjoying my Yogmael this past month , it's
great to have something interesting to read finally . My
question is : in
one of the latest issues someone mentioned a video/song for "Shake" . What
album is this song from?
(Shake
is the second track on Andrew Ridgeley's solo album "Son of Albert"

Hi! I'm Sabrina (Biby for friends), I'm 25 and
italian.
I wanna say that this last cd-single is really soft. It's the first time
that
George sings in another language,
isn't it?
(I think so. AG)
I think this another sign that he's getting "older" and he's getting better
every
day. He's very professional and can perform every kind of music.
I like very much "Desafinado" and the wonderful
version of "I can't make
you love me".
George is really a great artist, there's no doubt on it.
Bye
Biby
P.S.
My e-mail: s.tait-at-blunet.it
"Older" is in 20th position in Italy after 37 weeks of permanence.

Hi! My name is
Rhee Black, and I just recently found Yogmail on the
Internet. I do not have a computer at home, only at work. So I borrow
my
brother's on the weekends. Keep up the good work!
Question: I read in an issue of Yogmail that Rob Kahane was no longer
George's
manager. Did he fire him? If so, why? I thought they were close.
(It had something to do with the whole Fony court case, and a
couple hundred
thousand dollars... I have no more info than that. Anyone else? AG)
I did see him on MTV Unplugged, and I
can't wait until the next CD is
released--
but it may be a while, eh??? I have not seen any video, except Fastlove
on MTV,
rarely. What is up wit was so pleased.
Funny thing though the dance floor emptied once it finished. One more
thing not one man
came up to dance.
(I must admit, every time I have been at a bar and that track comes up, it
fills the floor. I have no
idea why... AG)
Another time I went out the DJ played a collection of Wham hits that ran
into together. I think the first
one was bad boys then into club
tropicana, last christmas, careless whisper etc. Do you know of this CD? I
asked the guy for
the name but after having a few drinks I lost it. Can
you let me know. Ta
(I can indeed, it's called Wham!: Dance to the
Beat. It's not the real thing
though. I have a copy, I have listened to it twice, and was in convulsions I
found it so
funny...I must give it a listen drunk... AG)
Keep up the good work.

Hi Amanda,
You can find
the "Behind The Scenes" footage for the Too Funky video,
as well as the video itself, at the end of the Red Hot and
Dance video.
It's by SMV (Sony Music Video Enterprises) catalog # 17V-49140.
Sony Music
Entertainment Inc.
P.O. Box
4450
New York, N.Y. 10101
Hope this helps, I'm sure that you can order it from somewhere.
(I've still seen this in
the local shops, I guess I'll just have to pick one
up now... AG)
Don't worry about the new fan club Amanda, Yogmael will
never die!!!!!!
(Hey, how do you make that joined AE symbol anyhow?)
(Press ALT while punching in 0198 on the number pad.
AG)
Thanks for all the hard work involved with making Yogmael, I and am sure
everyone else REALLY appreciates it!
T H
A N K Y O U A M A N D A !!!!!!!!
:-)
Rick
P.S. Have you given any more thought to the ski trip next winter (a' la
Last
Christmas?)
(A bit, but my mind is more on the LA trip right now. But of course I will
be planning a Last Christmas weekend
for 1998. AG)
P.P.S. If I send you mail at this address ( i.e. to you personaly) do I
still need to write PERSONAL at the
top?
(Nope. You can now get creative. The funnier you are, the faster I likely
respond. AG)

I really tried to bite my tongue on this
one..honest I did, but REALLY!
This pisses me off! Give the man a break! If they want to talk about his
music...fine...that's
what he's about. But he's not Boy George for God's
sake! He's not trying to sell his music with a "look".........still
grumbling.......

Hi,
Amanda! This is not for posting in Yogmael, actually, but I read your
note in one of the issues that you had the English lyrics
and were
interested in the Portuguese lyrics.
(OK, so made it a posting...hope you don't mind. AG)
Here they are,
taken from a posting on the Different Corner page music board:
Se voce disser que eu desafino, amor
Saiba que isto em mim
provoca imensa dor
So privilegiados tem ouvido igual ao seu
Eu possuo apenas o que Deus me deu
Se Voce insiste em
classificar
Meu comportamento de anti-musical
Eu mesmo mentindo devo argumentar
que isto e bossa nova
que isto e muito
natural
O que voce nao sabe
Nem sequer pressente
E que os desafinados tambem tem coracao
Fotografei voce na minha
Roloflex
Revelou-se a sua enorme ingrat Like the bossa nova, love should swing
We used to harmonize, two souls in perfect
time
Now the song is different and the words don't even rhyme
Cause you forgot the melody our hearts would always croon
So
what good's a heart that's slightly out of tune
Tune your heart to mine the way it used to be
Join with me in harmony and
sing a song of loving
We've got to get in tune again before too long
There'll be no desafinado
When your heart belongs
to me completely
Then you won't be slightly out of tune
You'll sing along with me.
Very jazzy, swingy, and upbeat --
hard to believe it's the same song.
Best regards,
Ann H.
P.S. I found a Patrice Rushen CD at the music store the
other day -- It's a
reissue/compilation called Patrice Rushen -- Straight From The Heart, and
it's got two different versions
of Forget-Me-Nots on it. Funny hearing it
sung by the original artist after listening to Fastlove for so many times!

Hi
Amanda (and all 500 of you avid Yogmael readers):
Since I am having such a hard time finding some of these CDs I want to make
a
deal with ANYONE who may be interested. I happen to have access to some
copies of the George Michael Unplugged on CD and I
would be more than happy
to trade one of these for any of the following on CD:
Cover to Cover (yeah right...I'm not holding
my breath)
The new interview CD
Older EP
**Anything else cool that is not readily available in the US!
I think
this is a pretty fair deal. Just let me know if any of you are
interested.
Sincerely,
M. Smith - L
