Busy busy busy for me, straight to it for you, well after one note, I
saw/heard the
Spice Girls for the first time the other day, and might I just
say "DAMN! These ladies have talent!" I actually said
that to my friend who
had brought over a tape of them on MuchMusic, and she looked at me
incredulously, as though I expected
them to be utter crap, which I guess to
be fair, I think I did...Oh well, I think I'll be adding a new album to the
CD
collection soon...
AND AWAY WE GO...

On
Thursday, Jan.30 as part of their Superstars Megaweek, VH1 is dedicating
Thursday night to George starting at 8 Eastern/7
Central. I don't have too
many details, but they are supposed to show at least part of the Unplugged as
well as an interview
or two.
P.S. The Angemail was great, and keep up the fantastic work on Yogmael!

I missed the George Michael MTV unplugged
- do you know when it might
rebroadcast?
(I'm honestly not sure. I know it was run a couple times over Christmas, but
I
have no idea if it's up for re-airing. AG)
Thanks!

HELLO AMANDA !
I would like to ask you if you
know whether GM has any performances in the
world and when ?
(I am beginning to hear stronger rumours...but I think we're
gonna be out of
luck here in North America. As soon as I know anything definite, you'll
know. AG)
do you know where can
I buy GM`s advertisement like T-shirts, hats etc ?
(Sorry, but no. AG)
thank you very much ,

Hey Amanda --
Hello from the deep freeze of the
northeast (US that is). I do not know how
Canadians can live in the "Artic Zone" :) I used to live in upstate New York
where
it was always snowy and cold, but that was many years ago and my blood
has thinned!!
(Wimp. AG)
Anyway, to the
purpose of this note. I have a CD of and interview done with
GM during the LWP era. Probably about when the album was released. I
don't
know if lots of people have it (even though I have 2 copies because stupid me
bought it twice!), but if not, I'll be
happy to transcribe it so you can post
it in Yogmael. I know how great the Radio One transcription was, and I
assume the Big
Issue will be equally interesting (or will it be annoying?).
(It was an "intesting" 4 hours to type the Big Issue
indeed... AG)
I don't want to do it if everyone has heard it already, but you may know
better than I. In case you haven't
heard it, it focuses alot on how the
songs developed. Its not your typical "who do you sleep with and what color
is your
underwear" interview. You can't hear the interviewer, only the
answers by George, interspearsed with the music from LWP.
(I
have a copy of this on tape--thanks again Kelly!--but I don't think that
everyone on here has heard it, so if you're feeling
ambitious, I know a lot
of people would really appreciate it. AG)
Let me know. As always, thank you for your hard work, it
is much
appreciated. Hope that you are feeling better.

Hi Amanda,
How are you?
(Good
thanks. AG)
I would like to have a copy of last GM´s unplugged (tape or video tape).
Could you help me to get it?
(I
can get you a copy on audio tape. E me for details. As for video, I just
agreed to part company with my last extra copy of it.
Besides, it would have
only been on North American format. Can someone in Europe help him out
please? AG)
Here in Spain
is not easy to find information about GM. I have the chance of
travel a lot and when I´m in USA or UK I can get more things, but
here is
quite difficult.
(Info here in North America is no picnic either, if it weren't for my
computer, I would
probably have had no idea he even had a new album out...
AG)
Thank you very much.

OK I just saw the video for OLDER today on
network TV - damn I didn't know
that the single was being released so soon after 'Spinning the wheel' down
here. Its a
mediocre video but at least its color.

it or have access to another one, please contact me

Hell I can buy then new a dime a
dozen down here! A few months ago there
was a big reissue to co-incide with 'Older' including major TV advertisement.

Sorry I made a typo it is Patrice Rushen! 1982 Elecktra Records. Anyone
interested in dubs - am happy to
oblige.
(I am interested, perhaps you could pair it with some more Bananarama
remixes... AG)

Does
anyone have GM's address. I tried sending to the fan mail address from
the listen without prejiduce album but the letter was send
back.
(The fan club was disbanded late in 1991 I think. AG)
Do you have his home address?
(A frequently asked
question... No, but to be honest, I wouldn't make it
public even if I did. I consider that to be a slight invasion of privacy.
AG)
I
am very grateful to the person who came up with Yogmael(where does this
e-mail name come from?) the last issue was great. That
interview really gave
an intimate
portrait of GM.
(It was I who came up with--or rather stopped talking about it, and
DID
it--YOGMAEL, but I must thank JT for inspiring me. Yog is George's most
common nickname, the AE is a nod to his logo of
sorts--look at the AE in
Michael. AG)

OK.
I live in Britain, where the big man himself does of course. I am not a
fan of many years, just 13 months I'm afraid, but in that
time I have grown
up out of my adolescent years and realized a whole lot more about myself.
Now I come to the part I want
everyone out there to help me with:
Plain and simply, I want to meet the man. I'm not a crazed fan, but really
want to meet
the real thing and need his advice on a few personal issues. I
would of course report back to YogMail to tell about my visit,
except the
personal parts of course. With this in mind, I wonder whether anyone could
give me a phone number or an address of
GM, or even advice on how to
continue my search for a meeting with GM. Seeing as you're all big fans
(hopefully) I anticipate
a positive response and thank you in advance for
any help you can give me!
(I am a big fan, but I honestly do have to say I
personally would draw the
line of knocking on his front door or dialing him up. I somehow doubt George
would appreciate it.
AG)

Hi
Amanda.
I was wondering if you could help me out?
I belonged to the "George Michael International Fan Club "
P.O. Box
302, San Francisco CA 94101, U.S.A.. I paid my dues and received half a
dozen newsletters up until1993 when they
suddenly stopped coming.
(Happened to a lot of us... AG)
They never wrote to tell what had happened.
(They were
supposed to... AG)
It would be interesting to know what happened to that fan club.
(George himself disbanded it. He
didn't feel the need to be so admired
anymore... AG)
Does George have an authorized fan club?
(Nope. AG)
Where
can I write to him?
(Not sure. I'm sure the AEgean website will have an e mail feature, but it's
not running yet I don't
think. AG)
Are there any other Japanese members on this list?
(YES! But not on the list you actually receive. The same
info goes out in
four separate lists. I'm sure there are some people who will contact you now
that they see you're looking for
them AG)

Hi
Amanda !
This is my first time, writing to U.........
First of all thank you for all this stuff about GM, I have just found
your
Home page,
And I must say it almost brings tears to my eyes !!!
(You probably want to be throwing that compliment
Tim's way. AG)
I have been a fan of Wham / Gm since October 1982 when Wham´s single
"Young Guns"out.
So
for me this Yogmael is the greatest way for me to contact other fans all
over the world. If there is someone out who wants to
talk about GM and his
music please E-mail me and we can talk !
By the way if anyone has posters,12",singles,videos any
kind of stuff with
GM / Wham please e-mail me !!!!! I will pay a good price.
Once again - Amanda Thank you a thousand
times, you make things so much
better.
(It was started for selfish reasons, I was sick of never knowing anything, so
I
figured if I had contacts world wide, I'd never miss anything again, and so
far, I've been right. AG)
Bye for now
