I just want to ask you some questions, you told us once in a yog mail
something about a new baby in GM's life maybe I didn't get that well but can
you explain to me?

(I was referring to his $80,000 Jaguar XK8. But on this topic, since Madonna
has Lourdes, Prince will soon have a little symbol, and even Michael Jackson
will soon hear the pitter patter of little Wacko Jacko's, when will we get a
little Yog? Just a thought. AG)

Also I wanted to ask you if you have seen GM's video clip "Papa was a rolling
stone /Killer" do you know if the earring his was wearing in his mouth was
real?

(George didn't appear in that vid, it was merely another bearded man. The
jawline was totally wrong. Gift for anyone who can tell me what former
Madonna dancer was in that vid. AG)

I'm also lucky cause I got a job in a music store and maybe I'll get my
missing things from there. Still thanx for everything!

(Congrats on the GREAT job, and you're welcome! AG)

Hello Amanda,
Could you please post this in the next issue of Yogmail? I am in dire need
of money as soon as possible, personal emergency, and so I have no choice but
to sell some of my most prized possessions. These items are unique so I don't
know what price to ask for them, therefore I will sell them to the highest
offer, sort of like a mini
GM auction. Here goes:

(Sorry for the delay, and very sorry you have to part with them. AG)

GEORGE MICHAEL ITEMS FOR SALE!!
--make me an offer, each will be sold to highest bidder--

1. AUTOGRAPHED Listen Without Prejudice CD (George Michael signed
it in gold pen). CD is from USA.

2. RARE 4-TRACK CASSETTE--"George Michael/Wembley March 19/20/
22/23 1991" Epic, Sony, UK. 1991. #XPC 4060. Black and white
face shot of him on cover. In lower left corner of cover it
says "Free Four-Track Cassette Not For Sale". It is a
promotional copy. These are the tracks:

I Believe (When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever)
Freedom (Back To Reality Mix)
If You Were My Woman
Fantasy

I have 2 of these tapes for sale. Like I said I dont know what
price to ask. These tapes were given out at those 4 concerts in
March 91 at Wembley Arena in London (Cover To Cover Tour).
I went to 3 shows so I have 3 tapes but I'm keeping one for me!

3. RARE 12" SINGLE WITH PANO CREDIT "Young Guns (Go For It)
12" single, Innervision, CBS, Canada, 1982. #12CXP 8541. Picture
sleeve in very good condition, a bit worn. Record in excellent
condition. On top right of cover it says 12" singles (598
series). The tracks are:
Side A: Young Guns (Go For It)
Side B: Wham Rap! (Enjoy What You Do)

The credits are on side A: G. Michael, produced by Steve Brown
and George Michael.
Side B: Pano/Ridgeley, produced by Bob
Carter.

(and no, I'm not mistaken, it is "Pano" and not "Panos", I
don't know why it was printed that way or why it wasnt printed as
George Michael when it was on the other side of the record.)

Please write me email, snail mail, or call me for more info and
with your offers. My number is (902)-542-0201.

just found out that I will be unable to leave the country next June, I work
with my parents you see, and they have decided their vacation time should
come first, so they are bailing and leaving me in charge of business affairs.
I tried to protest, but my mom had heard of Nancy's posting about George
being in LA in August, and told me I shouldn't waste my money if there was no
way in hell he'd be there anyway. So it looks like I'll be spending my 22nd
birthday instead of George's 34th in LA. Details in February. AG)

I JUST THOUGHT ID SHOW YOU PART OF AN EMAIL THAT I REPLIED TO TODAY FROM ANNA
IN GREECE,WHICH CAME FROM YOGMAIL.SHE WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT MY EXPERIENCES
SEING GEORGE LIVE,SO I TRIED TO EXPLAIN IT. AS SHE HASNT HAD THE CHANCE TO
SEE GEORGE YET.

(It's hard to explain I must agree. AG)

SO I THOUGHT THAT ID LET YOU SEE IT TOO,YOU NEVER KNOW IT MIGHT PROVE
INTERESTING TO SOMONE ELSE WHO HASNT SEEN THE MAN HIMSELF,LIVE.... USE IT IN
A FUTURE YOGMAIL IF YOU LIKE?
HERE IT IS.

NOW DOWN TO YOUR QUESTIONS.
I FIRST SAW GEORGE AS WHAM! ON 14TH DEC 1984.THIS WAS THE ACTUAL DAY THAT
GEORGE HURT HIS BACK ON STAGE AND HAD TO CANCEL SOME DATES ON THE TOUR.

(Was this not due to a backstage Madonna impersonation instead? AG)

THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER CONCERT OF ANYONES,AND I WAS IMMEDIATELY HOOKED ON
LIVE EVENTS. THE SHOW WAS EXCELLENT,BUT YOU COULD TELL THAT GEORGE HATED
TOURING,EVEN THIS EARLY IN HIS CAREER. DONT ASK ME HOW YOU COULD TELL
THOUGH.IT WAS JUST AN OBSERVATION.YOU COULD ALSO TELL FROM THAT DAY,THAT THE
BEST WAS YET TO COME.HIS VOICE WOULD BECOME A LOT BETTER.

(It's only the process of touring he hates, not the performance, I have yet
to see him do anything but beam when I see him. AG)

THE NEXT TIME WAS AT THE FINAL CONCERT AT WEMBLEY STADIUM JUNE 28TH 1996.
ALTHOUGH IT WAS A SAD DAY,IT WAS ALSO THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE SO FAR.WORDS
CANNOT DESCRIBE THE FEELINGS OF THAT SPECIAL DAY,I THINK THAT ONLY THE
PEOPLE THAT WERE ACTUALLY PRESENT KNOW THAT
FEELING..................AWESOME!!!

(I am duly jealous. I have the audio though, and some video clips. AG)

I THEN WHENT ON TO SEE GEORGE SOLO,3 TIMES ON THE FAITH TOUR,3 TIMES ON THE
COVER TO COVER TOUR.THE BEST NIGHT WAS THE 23RD MARCH AT WEMBLEY ARENA
1991.IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY.MYSELF AND FOUR FRIENDS DIDNT HAVE TICKETS BUT ALL
DECIDED TO GO DOWN TO WEMBLEY(3 HOUR DRIVE)AND TRY TO BUY TICKETS OUTSIDE. WE
PAID #75 PER TICKET AND TOTALLY LOVED THE EXPERIENCE.ELTON JOHN TURNED
UP ON STAGE TO SING DONT LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON ME.THAT DAY WAS THE DAY THE
SINGLE WAS RECORDED.GEORGE ALSO SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CONNIE FILIPELLO HIS
PRESS OFFICER BUT IT REALLY FELT AS IF HE WAS SINGING IT TO ME.WHAT A
NIGHT.WE ALSO GOT TO MEET BANANARAMA AND SEAL THAT NIGHT.WHAT A BIRTHDAY EH?

(I'm assuming the Nana's were there as guests of Andrew. But, yeah great
birthday! The closest I can get is that the Faith tour opened on my 13th
birthday. AG)

THE NEXT TIME I SAW GEORGE AT THE FREDDY MERCURY TRIBUTE CONCERT,WHERE GEORGE
WAS THE BEST OF THE WHOLE DAY.HE SHONE OUT THAT DAY.THEN IT WAS AT THE
CONCERT OF HOPE AGAIN AT WEMBLEY ARENA. WHEN GEORGE STEPPED ON STAGE THAT
DAY,HE CONVERTED THE REST OF THE CROWD THAT HAD ONLY GONE TO SEE SIMPLY RED
PLAY.WE WERE SAT WITH LOADS OF SIMPLY RED FANS,WHO WALKED AWAY SINGING
GEORGES SONGS NOT MICK HUKNALLS.
HIS FIRST SONG OF THE NIGHT HE WAS NERVOUS AS HELL.YOU COULD SEE FROM HIS
ACTIONS AND EXPRESSIONS ,THAT THE WORLD WAS WATCHING HIM,AND HE REALLY DIDNT
LIKE IT.BUT THEN AS IF BY MAGIC,HALF WAY THROUGH THAT SONG ,HE CLICKED
MOMENTARRILY,AND THEN RELAXED INTO IT.FROM THAT MOMENT ON IT WAS SHEAR
POETRY.HE COULD DO NO WRONG.HE WAS THE BOSS,AND HE KNEW IT.THE CROWD WERE
JUST EATING OUT OF HIS HANDS.

(He's good at that... AG)

I GOT MY CAMERA TAKEN FROM ME BY SECURITY THAT NIGHT SO I COULDNT GET ANY
PHOTOS.STILL NEVER MIND.

I ABOUT IT ALL NIGHT,BUT TRIED TO KEEP IT SHORT.

(Write more anytime!! AG)

Hey there!! Sorry about earlier, I had to hurry to get off online. I'll
explain later because right now, It's info time:

(No really, it's OK that you barely said good bye before bolting offline.
Alicia does it all the time... AG)

First off, I would like to thank you for YOGMAIL. Even though I have only
recieved a few issues, I think it's pretty outstanding. Keep up the great
work!!

(You're welcome, and I shall indeed try! AG)

Second, I live in KY, and as far as I know, I'm the only GM fan here. Pretty
hard to believe, but, I've yet to meet another. That will all change when I
move to California. So all of you out in Cali, write me so I have some
friends when I get out there!!

(I'm telling you, there are a number of George fans in the south. You'd be
surprised where we pop up! Why my very own venue of elevated metriculation
(university)--which Alicia likes to call MacDaddyU--has recently signed on a
member. Welcome to the list Tracy!!! AG)

Anyway, back to the nature at hand, I was in east KY about a year ago and
found out through some reliable sources {that I might add are not GM fans}
that George has a ranch in Lexington. From what I understand, it is VERY
secluded, of course, if you have ever been to Lexington, KY, you know that
all of the millionaire's ranches are far away from the city and hard to see
from any road. I also found out that he usually attends the Kentucky Derby
in Louisville every year and Keenland race track once in a while. Check it
out next time it comes around.

(I thought about this for a while, and then it hit me why this may well be
true: Does George not own a few race hourses? Makes sense... AG)

You will be surprised on how many celebrities visit the derby. I will try to
find out more information as soon as I can for my new found YOGMAIL friends.

(Please keep us posted indeed!! AG)

Third, next time you are in a music store, pick up a copy of DMA magazine.
This is a magazine for dance music hipsters and DJs. In there, you will
find ads for remix services. Usually they have anything from vinyl to
nowhere-else-found remixed songs. Since Fastlove is so hot in Euro, I'm sure
you can easily find a version of it that you can't get ANYWHERE else. Cool
huh. I've ordered a few compilation CDs from these services and they where
unbelievable!!

(Always nice to know. AG)

Finally, I have a question. As my support for George Michael grows all the
time, I've read about people talking about his book "Bare". Please let me
know some more info on this and how to get it. Thanks.

(As I told people previously e mail Dan at boy1derz-at-aol.com AG)

Keep up the fantastic work that you do and take care. Reward will be yours
through your devotion to what you love.

(You think? AG)

If you decide to print submission, please proofread it for me and make any
corrections. I forgot!! Whoops!! Thanks again.

(I print everything, eventually. But proofreading? I think I did, but who
knows... AG)

Anyhow keep up the good work guys, oh I almost forgot if you here any news of
GM coming to Australia please let us Know through these mail messages

(Once I find out, you too shall!! AG)

Cheers

Hi Amanda!

First off, I've never posted on here. So, I'll just say that I've been a fan
of GM for as long as I can remember (I was 12 when I first heard Wake me Up
and I really fell in love with his voice when I heard Careless Whisper...and
the rest is history).

(Welcome, and I think we all have a similar story. AG)

I know you're busy...as am I...but I don't think I ever got that welcome
message (either I lost it, misplaced it, or never got it...I don't know)...so
could you please send me a copy(whenever you have time...I'm not that rushed

to get it).

(I trust you got one in the mass sending. AG)

Someone from another mailing list told me (thank you, you know who you are)
about this list. And I must say, you do a fabulous job. It lets me know that
I'm not the only person in this world who listens to GM. One of my very close
friends (who was a big fan--note the word "was") stopped listening to him and
I've been lost for anyone to talk about him *sob*.

(What other list does YM share readers with? I mean aside from JT's fab
Bananarama list--I cannot praise this man who inspired and taught me all I
know. No, you aren't the only GM fan out there, it just feels like it...
AG)

I have been wondering though, does anyone know of a web page where there are
all of GM's lyrics? I would like to know 'cos I have some stuff that don't
have lyrics and would like them. I have lyrics for his major albums, but what
about for the Wham! days and his singles??

(A total listing? Nope, but I have most of them kicking around in a file
somewhere. I'll have to get 'round to typing them into the computer one of
these days. AG)

Also, I e-mailed Muchmusic and asked if they would air GM's Unplugged
performance. They actually responded to me (they never did before) and they
said that they don't know if they will air it. Which distresses me since I
don't have MTV. So I'm wondering how long it takes for them to air something
from MTV. See, they
said that Oasis Unplugged will be aired in late November or December...when
did they appear on MTV? Was it 6 months ago? Will I have to wait 6 months for
them to decide to air GM? Or will they not air him at all since there is lack
of interest? Whoever gets Muchmusic, maybe you could write to them
(muchmail-at-muchmusic.com) and ask nicely (don't want to offend them) to put on
GM unplugged sometime soon. Maybe if more people wrote in, they'll consider
it and decide to show it.

(Much has responded on most of mine--asking if they had the FastLove vid,
reaming them for mislabelling the members of Bananarama in some file footage.
I'm quite sure they will air it, but yeah, assume a 6 month wait before they
air it. As usual, make a US pal to get a copy within a week. AG)

That's it...pat yourself on the back Amanda...doing this all without
majordomo or listserv must be hard and strenuous.

(Not hard and strenuous, but certainly time consuming and occasionally
confusing. AG)

Just wondering when another ad would be run for me?? I haven't seen one in
about 2 weeks (unless I am just blind (smile!)

(No, you're not blind, I'm just totally unable to find it!!! I know it's
here somewhere, but allow me to offer you all a testimonial on Nancy: She
has some great George and Andrew stuff, I highly recommend you get in touch
to get a list of stuff, and if I ever find her ad, I'll run it. AG)

Hi, I don't post much but...

With regards to spliffs getting George under the shower in the Fastlove vid.

It's obvious that the cheorgraphy (sp) was well thought out for the rest of
the video and we all know that George doesn't see himself as a dancer so how
could his dancing under the shower be a spontanious impulse and still mesh so
well with the rest of the dancing?

(Still, George on weed, I don't know... AG)

Just a side note. Jerry Hall was on VH1 this morning and mentioned that she
liked George's new look but then look who she's married too (they are still
married this week aren't they?).

(I think they've split by now, maybe they'll be re-married next week. Alicia

says there are a few similarites between Mick and George--care to share? AG)
