Do you know where George will be performing his MTV unplugged concert, is itin California or New York. Also you mentioned you can buy tickets for thisconcert, how would i find out when the go on sale.

(Actually it's in London, and I have no idea how to get tickets nor even whatvenue he's using. One more correction, I flaked out on the actual day of theMTV broadcast, it's NOVEMBER 24TH actually. Sorry all, I guess I bumped itup as a means of wishful thinking... I can tell you one thing I haveheard--courtesy of Alan--the show will contain a cover of a Bonnie Raitt tunecalled "I Can't Make You Love Me". Also a note to all international YMsubscribers, have you made friends with someone in the US yet? Over halfthis list's subscribers are American, so there's no excuse we can't have acopy of that Unplugged in everyone's hands within a week or two--depending onhow bad the person wants it. I believe I will have mine FEDEXed! AG)

I'm just happy to hear you've heard a few Dylan lyrics... I agree that hecan't sing, and that he's a bit... uh...degenerated? But, hey... I think heenjoys himself yet, for a dirty old man.

(I wholeheartedly agree! AG)

I have two exams this week...calc and econ...so I'll try to get the interviewthis weekend...It's very long. I don't mind typing it out...but perhaps Ishould send it to a homepage instead of YogMail? the frank letter isshort...I'll definatly get it done this weekend.

Just photocopy the interview andsend it to me, I'll send you info on one or two I've got and we can trade. Ihave an unemployed pal who sits by the phone waiting for an answer on one ofthe resume's she's sent out, plus she just got a new computer and likes toplay with it--her most recent task has been typing the truly comprehsivescript to Madonna's Truth or Dare--so I could ask her. But if you want totype it, send it to YM as a CC to whatever page you post it to. Whatever youget to us is fine! AG)

Call me crazy or call me stupid, but where oh where can I find the STW video? Is it on MTV or VH1 yet?

(US connection? AG)

I have been so busy studying lately that I admit I haven't watched much tv,but if it is on, can someone tell me which music channel it's on and alsoapproximately what time of the day. I must see Georgie!! Plus, I don't wantto be the only goober who hasn't seen the darn thing yet!! :) Thanks allfor your help.

(Alex, you are not a goober! Well I don't think so anyway, I mean I supposeyou could be, but I would not agree. AG)

Hi Amanda,

Last week I happened to catch a very old telecast of 'The best of AmericanBandstand' as part of a VH1 special set of telecastsanyway they had GM aspart of then Wham in his Fantastic days (so I guess this was recordedsometime in '83) performing Wham rap with Andrew, and he did the videoversion of the song with the alt. lyrics (which by the way I think is muchmuch better) so that was pretty cool.

(I agree! In fact, who has an audio copy of that version? I WANT!!!! AG)

Then over the weekend I rented the Freddie Mercury tribute where GM performed39, days of our lives and Somebody to Love. What I really and all my friendswho watched it with me couldn't help but notice is how much a better singerGM is than everybody else. Normally I always listen to him sing in isolation, but thatconcert clearly helped compare him with the others and it was plain to seehow much better he is. I really think his peformance of 39 has got to be oneof my favorite songs. I was wondering if it would be possible to get hold ofa copy of the taped version ?

(George was one of very few performers who performed songs in the key theywere written in. And I agree, in terms of vocals, he stole the show thatday! If you closed your eyes, it was almost as good as having Freddie... Speaking of Queen, we are about to add an official Queen fan club contact tothe list, so maybe he can help you out here! AG)

Hey there folks (oh btw, "the like" referred to: obsessors, haters, those whodrool heavily over him, those who hate his new hair, those who love his newhair, those who don't care about his hair and would rather talk about hisgotee/stubble/no facial hair issue, those who are generally aware of hisexistence..does that clarify the question? :))

(Yes, thanks! AG)

Right, then, a few days after I get my Australian releases of those STW CD's(THANK YOU TIM!!!), what do I get to see at a store in my city (Winnipeg,Canada)??? YEAH, you got it...the same STW CD's, except in the UK releaseformat. How interesting. But, anyhow, just wanted to let you know that thestore in Winnpeg (HMV) has got them, so it should be available almosteverywhere in NA now. I come to this conclusion because Winnipeg is the mostnon-George loving city and it's almost impossible to buy anything of his(well,I am exaggerating now, but still...) and therefore, my dear Watsons, I

(I've heard it's just really fast sounding, but I want it anyway! Here's aplan, go buy mine--once I send you the $--which I'll do as soon as you sayyes--pop it open, give it a listen, then send it to me OK? That way you getto hear it, and we also make sure it's not defective. Sound fair? AG)

HI this is Christine from North Carolina, and you may not believe this but Igot the Deon Estus CD for my birthday last January!! My best friend found itat Camelot Music (WHere I used to work and where my boyfriend now works) forunder five bucks!!!! If you have a Camelot Music near you look in their"cut-out section" you'll be surprised at what you might find.

(I bought the tape back when it was first released, but I'd love a copy ofthe CD, if anyone finds one, I'll be happy to buy it! AG)

Now what would really be a great duet is George and His Royal Badnesshimself, Prince. I know that they have had jam session a few times and arefan of one another. If you can't tell, I am a huge Prince fan too!

(ME TOO! Best movie moment over: The Beautiful One's in Purple Rain! AG)

Excuse me... is it me or my imagination, but it seems to me that there are anawful lot male yogmailers (some female too) who are interested, or comment,or perhaps... hope that George is gay or bi. As a serious, althoughgeographically challeged, fan of his for over 12 years, I don't give a ratsa** if GM is gay or Bi. That is his business. As a fan I have evolved froma preteen lusting after his body and beautiful smile to a woman of 23 who still thinks he is sexy, but cares more about hismusic than who he sleeps with!!! Come on people. People made the sameacusations about Prince (who is another favorite of mine) and Michael Jackson(ok forget about MJ, the jury is still out on him) But anyway, I'm not goingto lie and say If George "Came out" it would not affect me, but it would givea whole new meaning to his songs. I support any decision he makes if it willmake him happy and end the funk he was in the early 90's. I have to admitthat It was very nice to see his beautiful smile in the Fastlove video, Imissed it... Oh and by the way, who was that shmuckwho had all those "neighborly" things to say about George? I have onequestion for him... How would you like folks coming up to you nonstophounding you for an autogragh, waiting outside your home and always wanting apiece of you, wouldn't that get on your nerves and cause you to be a littlepissed off and/or standoffish????

(Gee, that sounds like something I'd write. I agree with you 100% Chris! Vent anytime you want to! AG)

Just venting
Chris

There was an item about George in Tuesday's New York Post (in the "Page Six" gossip column). There's a mug shot of George w/sunglasses, and the text follows:

caption: "GEORGE: handy man"

"Pop relic George Michael had a cozy dinner the other night--with another man. Michael, half of the defunct duo Wham!, was staying at the Lowell Hotel, where the staff was told to address him as "Mr. Michael," our spies report. He dined a deux last Tuesday at Cafe Nosidam on Madison and 66th with a young blond man in tight jeans. They shared a $30 bottle of wine and their total check came to $125. When the maitre d' offered to get them a taxi due to the rain, the manly Michael said, "I can handle it.'"

(My comments if I may: Relic? WHATEVER! Gee, I don't like the staff athotels to just say "Hey Amanda" either. George grew up and in lives inLondon 6 months (?) a year, I think he can handle some rain too. AG)
