YOU'VE GOT YOGMAIL!!

Hi Hi Hi! Here we go, I'm catching up, so I shall keep my ramblingsshort--you may all breath deeply now with relief...--because this is going tobe a long one! Nonetheless, I ask you: What are the odds of both Alicia andI buying the STW imports on the same day some 2500 odd miles away from oneanother, and then getting the same idea to go back and buy one for the otherperson tomorrow if she hadn't already bought it?? One question, what's thedifference between the two CD's? I bought the gatefold one with thepictures--the only one they had--so what am I missing on the other?

Notes:
1. txt files went out yesterday, anyone who specifically asked, and did notreceive, e me--there were a number of error messages--so I can re-send.
2. Anyone miss yesterday's list?

AND AWAY WE GO...

Hello luvs! I do believe a while back you requested concert stories to share. So I come fully prepared to step up to the challenge and deliver a personalanecdote from the C2C tour!:) (AG--don't say I never come thru for ya!)

(Why would I say such a thing? AG)

I was sitting in a section full of "yuppies"--or rich, snobby 30+ yearolds--and I really was enjoying the show!! When "I'm Your Man" came on Iscreamed so loud that people turned around and looked at me!:) Then thisyuppie said "You're really enjoying the show, aren't ya?" Then to myamazement--he lent me his binoculars! I still couldn't see very well, soduring intermission--my sister spotted someone she knew and we walked over tosay hello. We ended up staying there--which was stage left eye-level toGeorge!:) During one of the fast songs--he ran over and held the microphoneout to the audience--AND THAT'S WHEN IT HAPPENED!!:) I MADE EYE CONTACT WITHHIM!!!!!!!!!!!! My sister and I looked at each other at the same time andscreamed!:) Let me conclude by saying--I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH AMAZING LOOKINGEYES IN MY LIFE!!!:)

(OK, and she wonders why I called her a wench yesterday... I made eyecontact with Madonna--does that count for anything? AG)

Hey--is this like a "Creative Writing Contest" or something? I mean are thereprizes involved???:):):)

(What more do I have in my collection that you don't already have my dear? Ikeep sending you stuff, and I think I may be nearing the bottom!!! LONG LIVECLC'S! But if I see the potential, I think I could maybe come up with atrinket or two. Let's hear it! AG)

That's all for now!:)
Love you's,
Alicia

Thanks for your note. I don't have a scheduled airdate for George Michael's new video. It is not on the current playlist. Check back with me next week if you'd like.

Hi there, fellow George lovers, likers, obsessers and the like! :)

(And the like? AG)

I have a major appeal for all of you! If you live in Canada, or even if youdon't, I beg you to write to Much Music and ask them to show the GeorgeMichael Unplugged thingie that Luka and Alan confirmed is happening in Londonon October 11. I would ask all of you reading this to write a short and niceand groveling :) message to Much Music asking them to show this, if possible. They address is: muchmail-at-muchmusic.com

(I shall be bombarding them soon! There's 8 of us Canucks on here that Iknow of, so if there are anymore of you, let's hear from you too!! Be warnedof their tag line of "Bu bye" when they write back though! AG)

If enough people write to them, the chances are that they will show it. Andafter all the waiting we've done for George's music, this would be an awesomechance to see him unplugged. *sigh* It would be a dream! So slap thosefingers on the keyboard and start typing!

(Guaranteed Much won't be able to show it the same night MTV does--ThursdayNov. 21, but I think it would make a great Big Ticket for the 23rd... Failingthat, I'll be waiting for a FEDEX package that morning from Sacramento. Here's my best advice: anyone not living in the US, make a friend withsomeone who is! AG)

Cheers! Kinga :^)

Hi everyone, and thanks to you all for the info!! I'm a serious fan, havebeen since I first heard "A Different Corner". And, I have to admit, I'm quite a bitOlder than most all of you (I have 2 kids in college, who are pretty much used to theirstrange Mom!!)

(Hey, nothing strange about that. My 49 year old mom--oops, I'll get introuble for admitting that--frequently asks me to "TURN IT UP!" as long asGeorge is on the CD player. AG)

So, I have a thought. I haven't been able to find a DreamWorks pageanywhere out in the web anywhere, but there must be some way that we in theUS can let them know that we want more George. Any suggestions??

(Well, I have been told that someone forwarded a YOGMAIL to someone atDreamWorks, and was told that the guy thought it was a great idea, but as fora WEB site, I know I would have thought that considering themoguls--Speilberg, and even Bill Gates--with interest in the DreamWorksenterprise, the company would be a lot more cyber!!! AG)

"I'm not the a fan letter wouldn't expose this side of George'spersonality. (Also consider that we haven't heard George's side of thestory.)

Truth be known, I don't think the readers mind an erratic schedule. (Aftertaking over Bananarama's and not sending it out daily) I thought people wouldget pissed, but actually the only comments I've gotten about it have been POSITIVE. I think people would prefer a lot of news every 2-3 days as opposed toa little news every day.

(I just know that my schedule sure prefers it this way!!! AG)

Does anyone know who David Austin is? He co-wrote You Have Been Loved, whichhappens to be my favourite song. Any info is appreciated.

(Easy one, Dave Austin is George's best friend, they've known each othersince they were little kids. Dave was almost a member of Wham!, and used toplay with them in the early days, in fact he used to be George's buskingbuddy. George and Dave have written a number of songs together, some Georgedid, some Dave did. If you have it, watch the Freedom 90 performan "Maybe you can help to ease my mind..."

Hi. I haven't said anything in awhile. I am constantly amazed at everybodyelses education level..someone once said, you know so much. But...Amanda. Youmade me feel guilty. "POST! POST! POST!" Did you see the film--8Seconds--yet? you probably don't think it's him. Okay. I can deal with that.

(I've seen the movie before, but I can't recall the alleged scene withGeorge. I'll get to the video store one of these days. AG)

I'm so excited about the unplugged...I'm comming up with the songs I'd likemost to hear... Some of his own, yes, but I want to here him interpret othermaterial. So, it'd be great if he covered other people's stuff...He should doThe Steve Miller Band's "Dance, Dance, Dance" ..."Well my grandpa, he's 95(and he still loves to dance?, i can't remember it )...." It even has afiddle in it, so, it'd work in America, maybe? George Michael...next he'llbe twangy...bluegrass, folk music, American blues...Electric guitars, Iwouldn't put any of it past him, and it would be fun to hear.

(I can't see George going country, I mean does he even still own a pair ofcowboy boots? He has always made use of the electric guitar though, but hehas this way of making sound like a synthesizer--listen to Monkey for anexample. AG)

it'd also be very cute to hear him cover Tom Waits' song "I don't wanna Growup" Its such a cute and bouncy song, but it has all the major themes onOlder.

"Well, when I'm lyin in bed at night, I don't wanna grow up Nothin ever seemsto turn out right , Idwgu
How do you move in a world of fog that always changing things.
Makes me wish that I could be a dog. (Enter hippy?)
Well when i see the paths you take, idwgu
I don't ever wanna be that way, idwgu
Seems like folks turn into things that they'd never want. (Star People)
The only thing to live for is today. (Move On)
I turn on my tv set, Idwgu (Praying for Time) (Crazy Man dance)
Open up the medicine chest, Idwgu ("oh but such affliction'll make a mark on your life,")
I don't wanna have to shout it out, (new subtle approach to stardom)
I don't want my hair to fall out. (okay, maybe he does.)
I don't want to be filled with doubt, (Wating Reprise)
I don't wanna be a good boy scout.(Fastlove)
I don't wanna have to learn to count, (Trial)
I don't wann have the biggest amount.. (Charity)
and I don't want to grow up!

There is a little more to the song, that dosen't fit him quite as well as thepart above, but I'll spare you!

(I think it might be an idea... AG)

I just think it would be cool for him to show the fun side, and cover someartists who are seen as portraying depth.

(I'm quite content with his appreciation of Stevie, Elton and Aretha thanks. I mean really, can George handle anymore depth? He's so serious to beginwith... AG)

I hope he talks to the audience a lot...and tells jokes.

(Doubtful... AG)

I'm going to have to call the cable company and get MTV.

Okay...and Amanda, the cover art! I haven't had similar experience, but I canunderstand! That eye is decieving. Aside from being the wrong color, theeyebrow looks devlish.

(I know, I think he--and I know he used to do it himself--over plucked abit... AG)
RAnd one more thing...I've posted this on various chat boards, and it's alwaysignored. In 1995 (?) a British band named The Boo Radleys relased a CD 5called "Wake Up Boo!" One of the B sides is called "Blues for George Michael"...I know it may not be complimentary, but I'm poor, and its probably out ofprint anyway, but what are those lyrics? Please.

(I have no idea about that song, but I will do my damnest to get me a copy!! AG)

And Noel Gallager used the melody for the Wham! song "Freedom" (if notfreedom, then some other Wham song..) in a B side for one of thier early(Definately Maybe album) releases...what was the name of th
