YOU'VE GOT YOGMAEL!!!

Hi. I dedicate this issue to my mom--her second I know--who
needs some solace knowing that due to her injury (Mom broke
her leg Jeanne) she has to eat my cooking for a few weeks...

AND AWAY WE GO...

Hi, my name is Trina, and I am a Yogoholic. O.K. On with the
meeting. Just wanted to say, great job Amanda. Keep it up. I
remember reading about your picture being posted somewhere on
the Web. Mind telling me where? It'd be nice to put a face to the
wonderful orchestrator of YM.

For anyone interested, I'll be going to London on July 4th
weekend and Virgin Records is to be my first stop. ( I am the
American living in Germany) Drop me a line if I can pick
something up for you.

I'm having major brain blockage. I was listening to LWP last
night and could not remember if there was a video released for
Praying For Time or not. Somebody help me. To anyone with
a copy of the VH1Honors show: I really would appreciate a
copy!!

(Yes, there was, albeit a dodgy one. Just lyrics flashing across
the screen. AG)

I just have to say that I am sick of friends and coworkers giving
me a hard time about my love for George. I wouldn't say that I
obsess over him. I just love his voice and his words. I am so
happy to be able to listen to the author of a song sing his words,
putting his heart and soul into everything he does. And it comes
out so beautifully.

Even when he does a cover of someone else's song, he seems to
make it his own. I feel very fortunate to be able to live in Europe
during this stage of his career. Americans should really wake up.
Music is reveered with a completely different attitude over here.
For one thing, here in Germany, music is not segregated. By that
I mean, there are no all rap stations, all rock stations, etc. It's just
all mixed together. For another, MTV (which originates out of the
UK) does a great job of covering music from all over the globe. It's
sad that Americans are force fed what top music guru's want them
to hear. They have an endless selection of European music to play,
yet you are limited to what they deem as good. It's really not fair
when you consider how "Americanized" Europe has become.
Stereotypes often bred in the states are virtually non-existent over
here. I think that the underground radio stations should branch
out and just start randomly playing the unknowns and let the
people decide for themselves. End of lecture. Just had to get that
off my chest. Bye!

HI EVERYBODY!
I'VE BEEN READING YM FOR ABOUT A MONTH ALREADY,
BUT DIDN'T HAD ANYTHING SPECIAL TO SAY, BUT I
FINALLY THOUGHT I'D INTRODUCE MYSELF. I'M KRISTER
24 YEARS BEHIND MY BACK AND NEEDLESS TO SAY
A GREAT ADMIRER OF MR. MICHAEL. I'M ALSO INTO MANY
OTHER SINGERS BUT THAT'S IRRELEVENT HERE I GUESS.
I AM FROM AND LIVING IN ESTONIA AND I THINK I'M THE
ONLY ONE FROM OUR COUNTRY TO BELONG IN THIS
FANTASTIC GROUP OF PEOPLE. I'VE NEVER SEEN HIM
LIVE, CAUSE IT'S SO SELDOM THAT ANY STARS VISIT
OUR CORNER OF THE WORLD. ALTHOUGH WE GET TO BUY
HIS CD-S AND ESPECIALLY BOOTLEGS ARE VERY CHEAP
AROUND HERE THEY COST ABOUT $6
HIS ALBUM DID APPEAR IN TOP 10
FOR A WEEK WHEN IT WAS RELEASED, BUT PEOPLE
DON'T BUY RECORDS SO MUCH OVER HERE. SO WHOEVER
GETS INTO TOP10 HAS PROVED TO BE COMMONLY LIKED
AMONG ESTONIANS.
THAT'S ALL FOR NOW, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ME

Here an info for posting about the German release of the 2 Star
People 97 EP's:

Hi there all Yogfans!

Both Star People EP's are out now in Germany, I think they are
the same like the UK releases. And here are the track lists and
a funny note about the word "F**k", of course George sings it
OUT LOUD in the German release it goes like: Who gives a
F**K about your Problems (like you all know the lyrics) what's
going on with Dreamworks to cut it off, I have to* lol*, it's really
childish (now soon we will have the year 2000)and with the word
"F**k they could have sold it better for sure, too bad with the
American Music Industry. They seem to know nothing about
promoting. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

BUT AEGEAN WILL DO IT BETTER IN THE FUTURE, just
can't wait that George is really free from Virgin and
Dreamworks!!!!!!! We all will help AEgean to become a
STRONG RECORD COMPANY for GEORGE after all this
bad years for him with Fony and the loss of 2 beloved people,
that not much we can do, but that's the only thing we can do
for him and of course the MOST IMPORTANT THING KEEP
THE FAITH IN HIM give him SUPPORT and SHOW him how
much we LIKE HIS MUSIC!!!

The new lyrics of Star People '97 will be on my site soon
section OLDER 3 and I will also digitize the booklet of the
STAR PEOPLE'97 THE DANCE MIXES it will be on OLDER 1.

STAR PEOPLE '97 THE DANCE MIXES

is a very upbeat and European club-dance-trance-version, I like
it, if you put it on repeat you have a really dance-trance, BUY IT
and TRY IT!!!

And the STAR PEOPLE ' 97 is whole new release and George
gives us 2 Bonus tracks from the Unplugged, he is always giving
us Bonus Unplugged track with his EP's. It's great !!! GO AND
BUY IT!!!!!

Another info about the VH-1 Honors from LA aired by German
VH-1 Hamburg:

GREAT PERFORMANCE OF GEORGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday I saw the performance of GEORGE duetting with
Stevie Wonder at the 4th Annual VH1 Honors from LA on VH-1
Hamburg. I tell you all, GEORGE DID A GREAT
PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!!!! He sang the song LIVING FOR THE
CITY with Stevie Wonder and GEORGE was "fastlove-dancing"
during the performance. He has a new look, new beard, new
sunglasses(a bit like the sunglasses during the Faith-periode,
Stevie wore sunglasses like George is usually wearing).
George appeared the first time not all in black clothes. He
wore a "kind of orange" shirt fitting to the background of the
stage, where he afterwards made a GREAT SPEECH about
music concerning youth culture and music-culture in the
meaning of the future for our kids. His last words of the speech:

"MUSIC IS A GIFT FROM GOD
AS LONG AS WE REMEMBER THAT
OUR CHILDREN WILL TOO!"

GEORGE IS THE MAN WHO MAKES ALL THE MAGIC
HAPPEN!!!!!!

I can make SOME copies, so in case please tell me if you
want a copy but please be patient too cause I have a lack of
time because of doing website on the weekends, a lot of
mails during the week and I have to live too without PC and
VCR!

Take care Rose

did george say this in a song? where?

(In Safe which is on the Older EP. AG)

<< 2. I know that at the time of LWP Vol 1 he was rather camera shy (no videos etc) but is there an official reason given
for the use of that old black and white album photo of all those
people on a beach? Am I missing something? >>

i think the cover reflected his disenchantment with being the
big pop star.....that photograph (taken by weegee) is probably
supposed to symbolize what george saw when he looked at
the public--a nameless sea of faces.....i think its supposed to
mirror his perspective on his dealing with his public

Hey all,

Havent mailed in a while. Just saw this interesting tidbit in my
favourite GM site, it read:

Steve Penk, a DJ on Capital FM, did a "wind-up" yesterday of
a DJ named Dale Green on a station called Tampa Bay Warm
94.9 FM, with a guy pretending to be George Michael. Is there
anyone reading this from Florida? Did that really happen? The
impressionist was rubbish but pretty funny, also. (Breaking
copyright laws by chance??) =-)

Thought this might interest a few of you.

Later,
George Lewis.

P.S. Amanda- havent heard from you in a while, sorry if I
annoyed the hell out of you!

(I've just been busy George. Sorry. AG)

Just wanted to share that the girls and I went to a garage sale
here today and bought a l988 concert FAITH TOUR booklet for
$2. We are just elated and it is soooo much fun reading all of
the interview statements in it. It is great. How lucky we were!
So, that made our day. I have not been to any concert, so
this was wonderful. Who knows if he will tour the US again?

Hey Amanda,

What's this I hear or rather read that George and Boy George
sang a duet together. Have tehre ever been better vocals put
togeterh than with the possibilites of these two when they
are together. Where can I find this duet?!? I am very interested
in hearing it. Where is it from anyway?

(As I said, the two sang a Culture Club song at an AIDS benefit
April 1st/87, that Man George refused to allow air. You had to
be there. Source: Boy George. AG)

Your doing great. By the way, I hooked up to capital fm radio
over the net the other day andheard star people 97 live on
British radio. It happened by chance. It sound pretty good.
Funkier than what we have heard here. Of course the British
are a roudy fucky bunch anyway.

I think you know what has to be done.

(I need to stop listening to No Doubt before my best friend
gets on a plane to Anaheim and kills Gwen Stefani? AG)

A complete list of all GM recordings has to be compiled,
be they on album (that means anyones album), video,
concert, anything and everything if it is possible. All mixes,
dance tracks, etc.

(You don't ask much do you? AG)

Of couse you will not do it on your own. The friends of
Yogmael should contribute any information regarding these
songs. A special edition of yogmael could be put out that
has all these. In time for those summer nights on the
beach, you know??

(Ok, since you asked no nicely...I'll do it. Who's gonna
help me out? AG)

Later Doll.

Hello crew--
I can't help but respond to some things I've seen on the web
lately. Stuff which AG would not allow herself to comment
on publicly. Those concerned know who they are, and I just
want to say something to all the people who think it's fun to
mess with YM--GET A LIFE!!! You guys have no idea how
much AG puts into YM, and yet no matter how mad at/hurt
by any one person she may be, YOU never hear about it.
She saves that honor for me. :)

She built this list up from nothing, and with one link, a post
to the AOL George board, and a hell of a lot of hard work,
she DID what everyone else just talked about doing. AND
she has worked her ass off for the last 9 months to keep
her promise to make George proud and never disappoint
her beloved YM family.

I have but one declaration: DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!!!!!! STICK
WITH THE REAL YOGMAEL!!! There's only one!!

AG: Thanks again, buddy: ALWAYS IMITATED--NEVER
DUPLICATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(And true to form, you know I love you Alicia, but officially,
no comment. But CC all flames to Alicia to yog88-at-aol.com
to save her the forward time... AG)

Luv ya,
Alicia
