Halo,
GM moved up one spot on the Pepsi
chart from 12 to 11. Not
great, but a step in the right direction! (Plus, Gary Barlow
slipped to 15!) (hee, hee, hee)

Hi,
it´s me again. I´ve recieved my Star People CD and my
Fastlove CD. But I have a question to ask. Does anybody
know which is
the Fastlove CD with all the remixes versions
included?, because I bought one which only has the full
version, the summer mix
and I´m your man `96. Is it the
only CD?
(Sounds like you got your hands on the DreamWorks release.
There is also the
Virgin release that has the Fully Extended
FastLove, and there are some dance remixes out there some-
where too. Which I STILL
NEED! Who can help me out? AG)
I'm very happy to have friends like you because you always
bring me information for my loved
star, GM.
Thanks a lot, take care Amanda,
Andrea

Hi Amanda--
Just a
funny story. Last night I went to dinner with 15 of my
students to help them learn about American culture (I teach
in Taiwan).
Well, they asked what kind of music I like. Well,
George Michael, of course. So they started to ask me all sorts
of questions.
I had to laugh, because thanks to Yogmael, I was
able to go into minute, almost scholarly detail, for all their questions.
So
thanks! They now think a) I'm a genius and b) I'm incredibly
cool. I was also able to throw in some Dogstar tidbits, (Keanu is
very
big here, of course) thanks to another friend, so I covered all
bases.
(Glad I could help! AG)
Bye,
Margarette

Hey
Amanda, how are you ?
Congratulations on finishing with the exams, my finals are still
to come :(. Recently there were some
guys writing about
sending nice gifts to Yog, personally I love this idea but most
of us don't know any of his adresses. I
still remember sending
something to the famous Santa Barbara adress and it has
returned to me.
It's nice that you're in
touch with guys from Aegean, maybe you
could tell them to make their site more informative, maybe
they're not aware of it but
not everyone has Windows '95 to use
RealVideo. I have my internet in school and they don't even have
realaudio. I kinda hoped
Aegean site will have some news on
George, sort of online fanclub. Their page in very nice and has all
new Java features and
stuff like that, but not everyone has fast net
providers.
Hope in wasn't to boring. Byby.
Eugenia.

Hi there
Before I
start, as always yogmail is fab and all respect to
you Amanda!
I just wondered whether anyone else feels the same as i
do
about the Star People Dance Mixes maxi? I have both
version of the Star People single but the version with the
dance mixes
isn't as good as I expected - not GM's
normally funky sounds. But the Unplugged "Everything
she wants" is sooooo
good, I have it on in my car
constantly, along with the Star People unplugged of course!
(Yes, I agree. AG)
One last
thing - i would just like to thank Yogmael cos
through this list I have met a great friend (McLeod) who is
rapidly becoming a
great soulmate.
Cheers

Hi Yoggers
It´s Paola from
Chile (OK, if you read your Yogmael, you just
know where Chile is). In my las mail I wrote about the "mala
pata",
but now things are getting better. I bought the STAR
PEOPLE single, and I have to say that I was absolutely wrong
when I
said I didn´t like it. I LOVE IT!!!!
I just don´t know what wersion I heard first, but the 97 version
is great. The
single includes EVERYTHING SHE WANTS and
STAR PEOPLE from the Unplugged, which are wonderful.
BTW, I don´t know if you
already know it, but the single brings
a kind of "letter membership" or something like that. I´ll try to
send it as
soon as possible, but I don´t know what is all about.
I just know it uses words like "OFFICIAL" and so on, so let´s
wait
and see.
Now, I believe this list must help any George friend, so here
is my help. If anybody needs any of this items,
please email
me and let me know:
1) STAR PEOPLE, maxi single (5 tracks) US$13.-
2) STAR PEOPLE, single (3 tracks)
US$12.-
3) OLDER EP, (4 tracks, including DESAFINADO) US$12.-
All prices include certificated post. So if you want them,
here
you have them. Finally, I have to say that I got very surprised
when I saw that smiling George on the cover of the STAR
PEOPLE
single.

Okay I'm a bit confused on this =20 thing that is
referred to
throughout this entire issue. This is my first time receiving
Yogmael so maybe I missed something a few issues
back?
Are we talking an age group here?
(It's something done by your mail server. I don't know why.
Ask your server. AG)
If
so than I'm an "old fogie" then and was listening and learning
about this new English group Wham UK my first year of
college
when most of you were still in 2nd or 3rd grade. So I'll add a
little bio here. I'm 31 and found George's music before
anyone
had even heard of Wham and they became popular. I'm sure
their popularity in the UK was booming but in '83 in the US no
one
had heard of them. But I knew from day one that George
was going to be a big star and that he was the talent behind it
all.
Well guess I was right. I've been to three shows on his US
tours and had 2nd and 3rd row seats for them all so that was
pretty
exciting to see him up close! His back up singer Lynn
Mabry's ( possibly she's a former back up singer now) brother
works at
the same company I do and I've met with him a few
times to discuss George, the business, etc. According to
Lynn, George is
pretty quiet and unassuming and just
dedicated to his craft. She has some great stories about him.
I sing myself and have done
many George covers at clubs and
parties. It's a hard business to get into but my goal is to at
least get a demo tape to his
new label. I look forward to the
latest info. on George with Yogmael.

Hi Amanda and YogFamily,

(if any....) does George speak? (just

FRENCH...
---------
George uses to speak a little french
with some accent.
During the MTV unplugged french interview he was asked:
"Can you speak with us in french ?"
George
answered:
"Non, ce n'est pas possible!" (No, it's not possible !)
Back in '88, he was also singing:
"Voulez-vous
coucher avec moi ce soir?" !!!
(any translation needed? ;-) )
(You can't live in France and not know some French. AG)
GREEK...
--------
And
now, Ladies and Gentleman -breaking law again!- here's
a Greek story from BARE (P.12, from the 1990 original Michael
Joseph's
edition):
George: " (...) The only time [Andros and I] had any Greek
culture forced on us was when we went to Greek
school- [our
parents] wanted us to learn Greek. From the time I was seven
until I was nine, when obviously you want to be out
with your
mates, every Saturday this crappy little van would come round
and pick up all the children and take us to this
terrible
classroom in Willesden where some extremely excitable Greek
guy would try to teach us the language. But everyone else
in
the classroom had two Greek parents and they could speak it
already - they just couldn't write or read it. So I was sitting
there
writing things parrot fashion and not understanding what
anything was about. (...) Two years of my Staurdays were
wasted...
"
(The rules of growing up ethnic: No matter how hard you try not
to, you will learn a bit of your native tongue, even
if it just is the
nasty stuff... AG)

Hi! everyone in YM Land!
This is the first time that I ' ve got off my
butt and responded
to YM, and I must say, I like it. Firstly I'd like to address the
subject matter about George's sexuallity,
if that wonderfully
sexy man is a homosexual, or bisexual that should not be
anybodys business but his. And besides I really
don't want
to hear about it unless someone has undeniable proof.
2ndly not all Americans think alike,or like the same
things,
so if the man wants to release songs like he has been doing
than so be it. I' m just happy to hear anything from that
wonderful
man. It's really on his fault or the record comp fault
about the record sales or the airing of singles, or videos, it has
alot
to do with the American side of media and those fans who
said they'd be forever Faithful and have lied through their teeth.
I
say "IF YOUR GOING TO LOVE HIM LOVE HIM FOREVER"!
Well now that I've got that off my chest, I'll say
farewell for now.
(You should speak up more. AG)
