My post-happy cyber tribe has knocked the posting delay back
up to almost 2 weeks.
But the priority rule remains in effect, so
if you have "date sensitive" info, title it "Urgent."
Also,
ANYONE who wants in on planning or details of YM
Weekend in LA, E MAIL ME PLEASE!!!!
Lastly, I dedicate this issue of
YOGMAEL to my friend
Michelle Varga, who had to miss the season finale of Friends
due to circumstances beyond her control. Get
well soon Mick.
AND AWAY WE GO...

I
haven't seen the Stand By Me concert in ages, but I don't remember
him doing It's So Easy...I do remember him doing 123
though...?
(Cass used the chorus instead of the title to name the song. Same
thing. He did perform one more track that day,
a duet with Boy
George, but Man George refused to allow them to air the Culture
club track they sang. AG)

Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to say how much I love reading Yogmæl.
It really
brightens my day. :) It's nice to know what's going on when you
live in North America. ;) I also wanted to let
everyone know that
after seeing everyone's George pages and reading Amanda's
Yogaholic paper ;), I was inspried to add another
site to the list.
:) It's not totally a George site, but I have a section with lyrics...I
had a *lot* of time on my hands one
summer, and I decided to
scout around and find George/Wham! lyrics. Just about every
song is there, except for the newer ones
(I'm working on it). If you
want to look at it, you can find it at:
http://members.aol.com/jshafer999/index.htm.
About
the Yogaholism paper...I thought that was great! I think we've
all felt like that at one point in our lives regarding George.
It's really
nice to know that I wasn't the only one. I also found a way to
combine George and cross stitching...I ended up
with a cool Faith
logo. :) I've combined my George passion with other hobbies too--
someday if I ever finish it, I hope to
have a one-of-a-kind sweater--but
we'll see.
Keep up the good work! :D

Someone
was asking to share funny GM stories or experiences.
I was in 9th grade and we had a history quiz. One of the questions
pertained
to George Washington. Instead, I wrote George Michael.
We traded exams with our neighbors and my friend burst into
hysterics.
I was able to get the points as my instructor
understood that it was a mistake. I never lived that down. :)
Amanda, great job
on the digest.

Andrew Ridgeley, if anyone has any info or a mailing list for
him
please let me know.

to post, but for the time being, I
have a single issue called
ANGEMAIL. Anyone in need of a Ridgeley fix, e me and ask
for a copy. AG)
I have been a GM fan
since Wham started. I don't have all
GM's music yet but plan on it. If anyone wants to e-mail me
please do so.

(Mr.
Smith has posted a lot lately, and here they are as
one magnum opus. AG)
Hello again,
It has been a while since I
posted but I'm tired of looking
forever and turning up nothing so here it goes...
I am looking for an ORIGINAL copy of the
April 1, 1987 AIDS
Day benefit concert called 'Stand By Me' on VHS. If anyone
knows where I can buy a new copy great. If not,
I will buy a
slightly used one (or trade one for something real cool).
I am also looking for any other original concerts on
VHS/Laser
Disc that George performed at. I already have 'Wham! In China',
'Freddie Mercury Tribute', and 'Nelson Mandela 70th
B-day' on
LaserDisc.
Thanks in advance.
>(Don't blame Virgin. The album is selling like mad world wide,
>it's
DreamWorks that's dropping the ball. And I have heard from
>various sources--all valid--that DreamWorks has done very little
>to
help this album. AG)
Indeed. At this time I feel compelled to make a comment. I
have a contact at Dreamworks (for the
record, I am actually
once removed from this person). She is an A&R assistant over
at Dreamworks who's offices are
actually in the building next to
the David Geffen Company in L.A. When asked about George
Michael her response was
"George, oh yeah...I almost forgot
about him." WHAT!!! I could hardly believe it! His own record
company has even
forgotten about him. This is a very dark
hour for the American GM fan.
But wait, there is more...Apparently, since George
was signed
by David Geffen himself George has no A&R rep at Dreamworks
to back him. In fact, she says that George reports
directly to
Mr. Geffen (or his assistant) at the David Geffen Company and
has not even had much contact with Dreamworks
proper.
pparently, George is none of the Dreamworks A&R rep's "baby"
so nobody is taking care of business for
him.
(I know that when I called DreamWorks they told me to call
the Geffen offices. AG)
As many of you know, George's
contract seems to have been
done on the Dreamworks books mostly for publicity to help kick
off the Dreamworks label. What
George needs is a sincere,
premeditated effort on the part of his record company to force
his music into the American public's
eye and at least give
people the chance to accept or reject it. So far, I can't say that
this has happened. She said she can't
even remember seeing
any promos in her office for George!
Dreamworks you appear to be dropping the ball!

>(The saying is akin to saying "on hold".
And a dictionary I

Funny, that's not the way I took it. Not to argue with a dictionary
but I thought of it as if he
felt that his life had already been "written"
for him by someone who is supposed to (or thinks they are
supposed to)
know what is best for him. Indeed this was probably
a reference to Fony. However, it could have also meant that it
seemed
(through Faith anyway) that his life was set on a course
that he had no control of because he was taking his
"prescription"
that was being handed to him.
Sincerely,
M. Smith - LaserNut

Just a
few thoughts from the past couple weeks in London.
Something funny is going on here. Lately the local M and left me feeling
fairly upbeat the rest of the
day. I don't know who the George fan was, so if you see
another Odyssey address on the list, you
know were they
work!
The pictures from the yogfest are currently being developed
and I will be sending them your way
very soon...
(My roll is not yet totally shot, and actually sitting in my
camera in a friend's glove box. I'm hoping to
have them
developed soon. AG)
Hope the jobs treating you well. Fair warning, I might be
asking for your help regarding
some redecorating...with an
appropriate consultation fee of course :- )
(No cheques without 2 pieces of ID... AG)
Love,

It´s really very very brilliant ! Two unplugged tracks were

I really look forward to the two projects still coming out probably

thing with the Wham Greatest Hits Album with new Wham-like

on it ? Is it true or just a rumour ? If someone asked that
in past issues noone ever answered ! Please do someone this
time !
