YOU'VE GOT YOGMAEL!!!

Hey gang. Just a note to remind those of you who are going to be
surrendering your university e mail accounts soon to please let me
know when you are leaving. That does not mean a week in advance,
--I have certain "Donna" tendencies and will forget--that means in your
last e mail check before you run from campus screaming
"FREEDOM!!!!" drop me a line saying UNSUBSCRIBE. I will remove
your name, and if you still had an e mail account I would have sent
you a note that said: "Thanks for reading YOGMAEL, I hope you'll
come back soon."

AND AWAY WE GO...

Hi Amanda,

I'm just writing to tell you how beautiful is your opinion about gay
men Olga. I'm straight myself, but I also respect gays and I
admire them, because I don't think I'd be able to live with all the
prejudice they have to. As for George, well, we must love him for
hi music and what he represent for us. We must love him by the
way he can touch our souls with his songs. If his gay, bi, straight,
whatever, it's him personal life, and those who have no sin throw
the first stone. BTW, when I read what you wrote, I was listening
to "Kissing a Fool", so it was a beautiful moment.

Hi everyone!!

I was just reading #137 (I think? I was reading 3 at once) and I
noticed someone mention that the original "Pastime Paradise" is on
the "Bagdad Café" sdtrk. Well, that's not entirely true, its the
original of "Calling You" not "Paradise". But that's not really my point,
the reason I write is because the person said they'd been looking for
this sdtrk but had a hard time finding it. Well, I have it and wanted to
let you know. It is hard to come by but I did happen to find it in the
Virgin Megastore in NYC this February past. You may want to check
at Virgin if there is one nearby. There was only one copy when I
bought this one but there's always a chance... If you would just like
a copy of the original song ("Calling You") I can gladly make copies.
Just email me privately and let me know. Sorry to say but I love the
original... even more than GM's version (sorry Yog, its the truth!)

Also, due to the irresponsibility of my traveling companion, who lost
$200, I had to use all my extra spending money to pay the hotel bill on
our recent trip to London. This occurred (the money losing) before I had
a chance to get the GM EP's that I so desperately wanted!!! Needless
to say, I was QUITE pissed!!!!! If there are any UKers or anybody who
can help me get these I would greatly appreciate it!! I'll be going back to
London this summer but I fear that'll be too late to get them. They were
4.99 a piece so I will send the US equivalent or I can gets pound you'd make a bundle!!

(Sorry to report it's just extraordinary genetics... AG)

Well see y'all later!! Peace Luv & Hershey Kisses!!!

Hi.

I am really glad to have stumbled (literally!) up Yogmael.

I should start of by saying that I am a 23 year old final year Law and
Japanese student and have been a GM fan ever since I started
listening to music properly, a long time ago.

I am glad that I have met like minded people through the net ( and
that it is not just the domain of porn surfers- mainy of whom are
currently in this lab right now).

What I would like to ask is why are so many people concerned
with the man's sexuality?

As far as I am concerned, reading through his lyrics shows that he
is not only a complex individual with in himself, but that he can
reach the parts with in us that we often don't want to show. This
is coupled with music that draws anyone who hears it (without
prejudice) to it.

(Boredom. When he's not releasing music, you start getting
bored and discussing the stupidest things... AG)

Another thing that I would like to ask is, are some GM fans a bit
over the top?

From reading the DCGuestbook, the majority of contributors seem
like normal people but there were a few that seemed to have nothing
in their lives but GM. I don't want people to get me wrong, I have the
posters, all the CD's, get Yogmael, have the book and even bare a
very very (my friends think so anyway) slight resemblance to the man
but there are other things in my life which in my opinion help me to
understand his work better.

(This is a touchy subject for me...not because George is my life, but
because I was once told I should hand over YM to a "real fan" since
I admitted I don't listen to George all the time. AG)

If anyone has any comments please feel free to write to me at :

That said, George Michael is in love with his beard. A beard is
confessing male sensitivity, power and the facility to get to the goals
once set. These all are features a popstar can never have enough
of. That's why George has experimented a lot with his beard. Do you
think the experiments were too much? We think: NO! No because
he has finally found "his" style of beard.

In the following interview you can read how stony the path to this final
style was. .... not too long ago in a london office:

George: Hmm...hmm...have you discovered something new, unusual,
photographer?

Photographer: Oh yeah! I couldn't hardly overlook it - that thing under
your chin

George:Great, isn't it? it's very modern, right? - Maybe too modern?

Photographer: What are you thinking about?

George: Well, that should be pretty clear I guess: this beard is not an
usual beard. Look, what I have done! I have cut till this tiny little piece
of beard was left. It's incredible. it's really incredible. This beard will
mark a new beginning in fashion's history. But of course I know that
this is my job - I mean, to set new Trends. to have a beard cut in a
way no man has cut his beard before, to...

Photographer:Hmm.. George - tell me, how long have you been away
from the pop-scene?

George: A long time. Too long! People have missed me. But now I
am back. With my new, cool, very modern and pretty funky beard.

Photographer: Hmm.. George - That's what's it's all about really. It's
your beard. Today in the opinion of the public this beard is not very
modern, nor funky, nor new, nor cool any longer.

George: Sorry?

Photographer: Well, I mean; every silly jerk from the coutry-side has
worn sucha dumb beard within the last five years of so. Even I have
worn such a thing; until my girlfriend told me that this kind of beard

friendship. And, as far as I know, gays are much more intelligent &
wise & polite & talented than other people - they are very interesting
to talk to.

(But I will still offer this warning to those ladies out there with gay
male friends: at the end of the day, they are still men. So they will
still stand you up or show up hours late and not apologize. AG)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not to start a big war between the sexes, but I just wanted to defend
upstanding men everywhere. In my opinion, the above comments are
very sexist. They may be true in some cases, or even a lot of cases,
but not all. And to say that gay men are more intelligent and wise
and polite just blows my mind. It would be like me saying, "Blondes
are more airheaded" or "Women belong in the kitchen". What makes
a gay man more talented or intelligent?
(I didn't say that, so I'm not commenting. AG)
I'd just like to say that men, women, gay, or straight, people come in
all shapes, sizes, intelligence levels, etc. It just so happens that I'm
looking for a mature woman. So far I haven't found any that are
available, but I know they are out there.
And for the record I have never stood up a lady, or even a guy friend.
Don't condemn the whole male species for the doings of some.
(I'm not condemning the species, I am merely saying, I have found
far more of my female friends apologize for tardiness, than do my
male friends. I was offering a mere admonision. But for the record,
you're the only guy who complained...but I'll stop joking for a few
weeks again. (: x) AG)
Hello fellow fans!
Here is a poem I wrote for George, way back when he decided to
withdrawal for awhile. What do you think?
HE
By Fonda Harris
HE HAS A PLACE IN HIS ROOM FOR YOU
HE WATCHES AND WAITS FOR YOUR DREAM TO BE TRUE
HE TOLD YOU THE METHOD
HE HAS GIVEN YOU THE MEANS
HE WATCHES AND WAITS AND IGNORES THE SCREAMS
HE KNOWS YOU HAVE TIME
HE HOLDS THE HOUR
HE WATCHES AND WAITS, BUT WON'T SHARE THE POWER
DON'T PUSH AWAY THE MOON
DON'T HIDE FROM THE SUN
YOU HAVE CHANGED HIS METHOD
BUT STILL, YOU'RE NOT DONE...
I love that man!!!
Hey guys,
I'm a frequenter to IRC and stopped by the #GM Dal Net channel
as well as opened my own #YogMael channel, also on Dal Net. It's
a common misconception that AOL users can't come on to the IRC
with mIRC and other clients. THAT IS NOT TRUE. So, if it's possible,
I'd like to see some more of you AOLers (including Amanda) on the
IRC every once in a while.
(I hit my first Undernet chat this pa two in one day--there will be no
YOGMAEL on Tuesday. And speaking of exams, that's why I'm
currently not answering personal mail, so don't take it personally.
BTW, Alicia, our chat woke me right up! I had ulterior motives
when I called, I needed some of that California energy...think I can
write our phone bills off as "educational"?
As for those of you who missed the VH1 Honors, one of your fellow
YMer's wanted me to remind you they will be re-broadcast yet again:
19Ap97 1am & 9pm 20AP -at-4pm and 03May -at- 10.
See ya Monday.
"Obscure is good."
